To Promise is to “send ahead” reasonable expectancy and hope.

Be Reliable, keep your word,

Return what you Barrow.

Make only promises that you can keep.

A fulfilled Promise is no longer a Promise!

Make no promise that you may regret.

Paper money is a promise to pay.

A covenant is a promise.

A contract is a promise.

A Vow is a promise.

Broken promises fill our Daily Press Headlines.

Broken promises doom our economy, split our families and spill our tears.

Below are several common promises. Will these be kept?

I will write every day.

I wont be late.

I will bring it back right away.

I will always speak the truth.

I will always love you.

My dog won’t bite.

See you tomorrow!

Follow me, I know the way.

You can do it.

I will catch you.

I will have the money, Tuesday.

God can promise anything!

God cannot lie.

God keeps His promises.

The Gospel is Good News and Promises.

You will find a chain of kept promises made throughout the Bible. Usually when a promise is fulfilled, a new promise follows, all the way from Adam to Christ. Example, Noah is promised, “ there will never again be a total flood.”

Many expressions of Faith are from belief of Promise.

I suggest that helpful text and reference will come from GOOGLEing Bible Promises. Or Promises of God. If no Bible is at hand, Google will offer some dozen versions.

Note: The time that a promise remains in effect varies:

the promised Christ was waited on for centuries-unto the First Christmas.

The Promise of the Savior was to take 30 years.

The Resurrection was to follow in three days to the first Easter.

The event of the Holy Spirit was a wait of 40 days.

We have been waiting for Christ’s return for over 2,000 years.

To date, this is the last, unfulfilled, Biblical Promise made by Jesus Christ, at the time of His Ascension. “I will return as you see me go”.
